Heart felt messages from those we help

100% Local - Sunshine Coast Charity Helping struggling families

We asked some of the people we helped to write a short message of how they felt we did.
We were overwhelmed by the kindness and love we received. There were so many responses we could only fit a small amount on this page. ❤️

When we faced eviction in Maroochydore, Aus Living Support stepped in and kept our family housed We are still local because of them.

As a DV survivor from Buderim, the Stay Safe Program gave me and my babies a safe place to stay close to our support network.

With rent prices rising across the Coast, we couldn’t keep up Their emergency help saved us from homelessness.

My son attends school in Mountain Creek and thanks to the School Aid Program, he had a new uniform and supplies It meant everything.

After sleeping at Cotton Tree for weeks, the Material Aid Program gave me blankets, a tent and support until housing came through.

The cost of living here is so high Their help with basics kept us afloat.

The speed of support was incredible. Within  hours, everything changed for us.

I’m a local mum from Sippy Downs and this charity restored my faith in people. Their kindness was life changing.

I was embarrassed to ask for help, but they treated me like a neighbour, not a case number.

Thanks to them, my children stayed enrolled at their Sunshine Coast school and didn’t have to move again.

I’ve been on the Coast for  ears, and I’ve never experienced support as compassionate as this.

When we lost everything in a separation, they provided essentials that Centrelink couldn’t cover in time.

As locals doing it tough, the community spirit of Aus Living Support kept us going.

I’m now safely housed in Nambour because they acted fast when I reached out.

The volunteers were so friendly, like chatting with neighbours you’ve known forever.

I didn’t know where to turn A local friend recommended them, and I’m so grateful she did.

The charity helped me stay housed in the hinterland while I rebuilt my life.

We received clothing, school shoes, and hygiene packs — all from people who truly care.

The support allowed me to stay employed here on the Coast without losing everything.

They cared for our dignity as much as our basic needs.
